  • Kids use computers at higher rates than adults.
  • About 90 percent of kids ages 5 to 17 use computers, and 59 percent of them use the Internet.
  • One out of every four 5-year olds use the Internet .
  • 3 in 4 students use the Internet for help with homework.
  • More than half of students use the Internet for writing e-mail, sending instant messages, and playing games.
