    Bucharest Food Festival – 4th edition organizers, the biggest gastronomic event in our country, in partnership with The Bucharest City Hall through The Bureau of European Integration of the European Commission, aims to provide to the public the gastronomic dowry of the European Union. this year event is part of The Open Days European project of The European Commission and has as theme “The Unity through diversity”, and the sub theme “The European Menu” and the main goal is to present traditional food of each European state. although we can find products which are still in negotiation regarding the paternity rights, each state of the EU is proud with the gastronomic variety.

    the event will take place in Tineretului Park , September, 24-26 and offer 1000 m of indoor space, 1000m of outdoor space and close to these will be placed the European picnic were some big quantities of traditional specialties of European countries will be offered to the public to feel the Europe taste in the “biggest European restaurant” the indoor space will host the representatives of the EU countries who will present minimum one traditional food product of their country. Romanian chefs and guests from abroad will present to the public traditional recipes from all 27th UE countries.

    Slide 10:concept

    the event is structured on two directions: 1. information information area will consist in seminar presentations to inform the Romanian public and the producers about the EU actions and directions from the food sector. In the same time we will debate and detail the bio/ eco and traditional concepts, products of controlled origin, etc. 2. tasting tasting area presume to achieve a “food festival” which will include exclusively EU food products. In this respect, will attend representatives of each EU state to present the gastronomic specificity and variety. This action is strongly sustain by the Bucharest representative embassies. Also, in this section we will be honored by the presence of wine and beer producers / importers from EU.

    this section will be included on the tasting area and has as objective to present the most famous European brand’s history that are produced by EU companies. each country stand will present one or more brands to define their food tradition in this section will take place food presentation, tasting and brand activation sustained by sale. the objective of this section is to increase the brand credibility, to present the brand values and to compare with other similar products on the market.

    this section will meet together the Romanian wine and beer importers and producers, to create an image of all brands. The section will be sustained by products presentation offered by specialists and tastings. This section wants to help the public learn about alcohol, and how these are associated with a cooking type, and why not, how all these can be used at cooking. In the European Union there are 5000 beer types, 3000 coming oly from Belgium. Countries as Netherland, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic and even Romania can be proud of their various types of beer.

    indoor exhibitor stands stands for every state member of the EU. Every state will have the right to present food products and traditional ones, electronics, traditional cooking books. each state can invite in the stand traditional restaurants to represent their country demonstration area each stand will present a traditional recipe to the public cooking demonstrations offered by the most famous chefs from Romania – Horian Varlan , Antonio Pasarelli. seminars the seminars have an educational goal and show how EU protect the traditional products and provide food safety in the European community. playground the children can participate accompanied by their parents and will have a special area were they can play, draw, and learn how to cook. This project is supported by Good Food and Pomello magazines.

    outdoor European picnic area this is the area where participants will prepare the traditional products from different EU countries in big quantities for the public sale terraces / restaurants area around the indoor location will have this 1000m area for traditional restaurants – sale specialties to the public concerts area each state can invite a band to present traditional music from their country to the public
