  2. Why Lifelong Learning? Human learning is a combination of processes whereby whole persons construct experiences of situations and transform them into knowledge, skills, attitudes, beliefs, values, emotions and the senses, and integrate the outcome into their own biographies. (Jarvis, 2004:111) Lifelong learning refers to the continuous acquisition of knowledge, skills and understandings from the “cradle to the grave” (Delors, 1998).
