Early Alert Warning/Feedback Programs are an institutional response to concerns about retention and to the fact that student disengagement is likely to begin during the initial weeks of the academic year, as indicated by habitual lateness, poor attendance and failure to participate in class activities and complete assignments in a time fashion. These programs have been proven to have a positive impact on student behavior, course completion and retention, especially when focused during the first weeks of a term.
