Combined Higher Secondary Level About The Exam The Staff Selection Commission holds a competitive examination every year for recruitment to the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India under the Combines Higher Secondary Level Examination. The details of the examination are as under: Eligibility for appearing for the Examination Age Limit Age limit for the posts is 18-27 years as on 1st August of the year in which the notification for the examination is released by the Commission. Permissible relaxation in Upper age limit for different categories are: Code No 01 02 03 Age relaxation permissible beyond the upper age limit 5 years 3 years 10 years Category SC/ST OBC PwD(Unreserved)

  2. 04 05 PwD(Unreserved) PwD(SC/ST) 13years 15 years 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on closing date of receipt of online application. 06 Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Widows/ Divorces Women/ Women judicially separated and who are no remarried Up to 35 years of age & for SC/ST up to 40 years of age 07 Education Qualifications Post LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG) Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) Qualification 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for Document Verification will be required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets, Provisional Certificates etc. for completion of Intermediate/ Higher Secondary/ 10+2/ Senior Secondary in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification. Nationality/Citizenship A candidate must be either: (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

  3. Application Fee Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only). Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Exservicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
