  1. Porsche: A History of Quality Engineering Dr.-Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, commonly abbreviated to Porsche, is a German automobile manufacturer that specializes in high-performance sports cars, sedans, and SUVs. The company is headquartered in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg. The name of the company comes from its founder, Dr. Ferdinand Porsche. Despite its name, Porsche produces more than just cars. There are even sports vans and motorcycles. The latest 911 models feature advanced technology. They feature a fully electric powertrain and have a 300 kW electric charging station. The company will release its all-electric Taycan in 2019 and will include a 350 kW EV charging station. In addition, Porsche will be releasing its first gas-powered vehicle since the 911, the Taycan. Its all-electric drivetrain was the first in a production car. In addition to a traditional engine and transmission, the Taycan also features an all-electric motor. The 911 was first called the 902, but Peugeot's trademarked name forced Porsche to change the name. However, this hardly affected the car's performance. Flat-six engines powered all 911s. With the addition of a 2.5-liter flat-six engine, displacement increased from 2.0 to 2.6 litres. The 930 was a popular car for private teams and factory teams alike. Despite being one of the most affordable Porsche models, the Porsche brand continues to attract top car buyers. The 911 has undergone a major evolution since its introduction in the late eighties. The Type 964 used the technologies of the flagship 959 model. This was a necessary move as the company needed to diversify its image in order to stay competitive. This car was launched as a Carrera 4, a reference to four-wheel-drive. Its suspension was revised, and ABS brakes and power steering were introduced. This new version of the 911 was a huge success and was marketed from the 993 generation up until the 997 generation. The 911's interior was also given an overhaul in 1989. The Type 964 used the technologies of the flagship 959 model. In a time of recession, Porsche needed to diversify its image and diversify its product line. While the original model was a convertible, the new one featured a convertible. Its front- seating was still prone to road rash and required regular maintenance. The new Porsche 911 featured a power steering system and a rear-mounted exhaust. The 911's interior was a major highlight of the Geneva Motor Show. It has many modern features and an extensive update to the engine. The engine has a redline of 9,000 rpm, a new front spoiler, and a new rear suspension. A PDK dual-clutch gearbox, a manual gearbox, and optional 'S'-type variant of the car are available. The steering wheel is wide and low, and the PDK dual-clutch transmission is the only choice.
