Can Police Arrest You Without Committing Any Crime The authorities have the power to arrest anybody or team of persons who have committed a cognizable offense and may be apprehended by the authorities without warrant as well as without an order of apprehension by a Magistrate in the case of committing perceivable offense. The purpose of apprehension by the authorities is to stop criminal offense and also preserve tranquility as well as brotherhood within the society. Section 151 CrPC states that arrest to avoid the commission of cognizable offences. There is two sub- sections or clauses under 151 CrPC:.
