Overview Bachelor of Science in Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology is an industry-oriented course that prepares the students for a challenging and highly rewarding career in a hospital, nursing homes, trauma/emergency centers, Intensive Care units, CSSD, etc. Graduates are eligible for employment overseas where their qualifications, training, and experience are highly regarded. With further experience, graduates may be employed by medical equipment manufacturers and development specialists.

  4. Programme Objective • To prepare the students in understanding every issue and aspect related to Operation Theatre • To impart knowledge about equipment support in an acute care environment • To make the students aware of infection control policies and procedures • To sharpen the students’ communication skills • To make the students better communicators with patients while preparing them for operative procedures • To provide complete knowledge about assisting anaesthetists in handling emergencies, taking care of medical and diagnostic supplies.

Programme Outcomes • Gaining knowledge and understanding of the complexities of Operation Theatre Technology • Sharpening cognitive skills to handle emergencies and patient breakdowns during complex procedures • Efficiency and skills in handling different types of equipment • Stronger empathy and communication skills.

  6. ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA Duration: 3 Years (Including 1 year of Clinical Training/Internship) The candidate who has passed a 3-year diploma (OTT) after Matric and a two-year diploma after 10+2 shall be eligible for admission to the B.Sc. (O.T. Technology) course in the 2nd year through lateral entry.
