In psychiatry, anxiety is an abnormal state, characterized by feeling powerless and
unable to cope with threatening events, typically imaginary, and by physical tension,
as shown by such symptoms as:
trembling or shaking
palpitations or racing heart rate
feeling dizzy or unsteady
difficulty breathing or the sensation of shortness of breath
fear of losing control or going crazy
My child is embarrassed to go to school…poor school performance often contributes to poor attendance. Children want to avoid being teased.
