  2. Most individual take up fitness careers and engage fitness activities to improve their health, well-being and appearance. One important aspect of good health that rarely attracts attention in the fitness research literature is good mental health. Yet it is widely recognized that mental health issues will affect almost half of the population at some stage in their life, and that mental health issues are experience by a very significant proportion of the world population generally (The-Australian-Fitness-Industry-Risk-Management).

The majority of people in developed countries are becoming increasingly sedentary at work and at home, have low energy expenditure in leisure time pursuits and have low participation rates in active transport. This means that the capacity or ability of the average to undertake prolonged moderate or vigorous exercise is poor.   6. Brief Flexibility Exercises Arm and Shoulder Rotation - Stand with the back straight and feet shoulder width apart. Extend the arms outward to shoulder height. Rotate the shoulders forward, making a large circular motion with the arms. Reverse direction.

  7. Stand with the feet shoulder width apart and the arms behind the body. Grasp the left wrist with the right hand. Pull the left arm down and to the right. Tilt the head to the right. Hold this position for 10 to 15 seconds. Repeat the action with the right wrist, pulling the right arm down and to the left. Tilt the head to the left.
