  1. All That You Need To Know About 6.5hp Engine

  2. While most people tend to see the hp and the cc of an engine in the same light, there is a marked difference between the two. The hp measures the power of the engine while the cc is the volume in cubic centimeters denoting the displacement of the engine cylinders. The link between the two is that the larger the displacement of the cylinders, the more will be the power generated by the engine. For example, a 6.5 hp engineis equivalent to a 212cc engine.

  3. However, this is not any form of standardized assumption because not one but several factors play a role in determining the power output of a 6.5 hp engine. The main ones are the placement of the valves and the compression ratio of the motor. Others include the speed of the motor, the type of fuel used, and the fuel/carburetor injection system. Some specialized components like the turbocharger/supercharger and modifications to the cooling and the timing system can exponentially increase the power of a 6.5 hp engine.

  4. Even though specific changes can dramatically enhance engine performance, it is advisable to consult experts before doing so. Any changes made or new parts added should match with the existing ones to ensure stability and safety. This is especially important for minibikes. If a turbocharger is fitted to a minibike, the frame should be strengthened and the gear ratio adjusted if you have to make sure about your safety while taking the bike for a run.

  5. A typical gasoline 6.5 hp engine for a minibike has overhead valves and a horizontal shaft that is ball-bearing mounted, making it the perfect replacement for most standard engine configurations.
