How does the muscular system work with other systems? • Skeletal system – muscles are attached to bone by tendons which help bone move • Digestive system – smooth muscle lines the organs of the digestive tract
Diseases of the muscluar system • Muscular dystrophy- is an inherited disorder which causes the muscles in the body to become very weak. The muscles break down and are replaced with fatty deposits over time. • Fibromyalgia- diffuse chronic pain, fatigue and many other symptoms. It affects more women than men, mostly between ages 20 and 50.
