The 2nd Grade Classroom’s Surprising Results! By: Group 3
Deciding on a theme… Our class had a lot of ideas. Our class teacher wrote some of the ideas on the board. The whole class votes and the two themes that got the most votes – T.V. and Sports – went to the next round. Our class votes on sports for our overall theme.
We decided to go to a 2nd grade and asked… • What is your least favorite sport? • What is your favorite sport to watch on T.V.? • What is your favorite sport to play? The question our group decided to focus on for our groups data analysis was: What is your least favorite sport?
Here we are getting some last instructions before we went to take our surveys!
Analyzing Data We came back to the classroom and our group tallied the results from the surveys.
Graphing Results • Our group went to the computer lab to graph our results. • We typed our data into Microsoft Excel • We put the group data into a graph.
Drawing Conclusions After looking at our data, we found that the most people in the 2nd grade class didn’t like dance. The most popular sport was fencing.
From this project we learned… • How to use Microsoft Excel and Power Point • The components of a good graph • How to make a power point presentation • How to analyze a lot of results
Thank you! Thank you for watching our show! We hope you learned something!
