Degree Requirements for a History Teacher • Requires at least a Bachelor’s Degree in History or Social Science • Additional Requirements: • A teaching certificate • Pass the basic skills state test (MTTC Basic Skill Test) • Pass the subject area state test (MTTC History or MTTC Social Studies) • CPR Certified

  4. If I were to start off by getting my Associate’s Degree at LCC… • I would get an Associate in Arts in Social Science • I would need 60 credits total • 13 of which would be Elective Credits Lansing Community College

  5. General Education Requirements for Associate’s Degree • Total General Education Credits: 32 • English Composition: 8 credits • Humanities: 8 credits • Mathematics: 4 credits • Science: 4 credits • Social Science: 8 credits

  6. Required Courses with in Major for Associate’s Degree • Total Required Credits: 15 • Intro to Political Science: 3 credits • Intro to Psychology: 4 credits • Into to Sociology: 4 credits • Principles of Economics-Micro or World Regional Geography: 4 credits

Degree Requirements for an Interior Decorator • A Certificate of Completion may be acceptable • Associate’s degree is acceptable • Bachelor’s or higher is preferred • No addition licenses or certificates are required for interior decorator • If you become an interior designer you will be required to have a license for commercial design jobs
