Our history Kleemann Family Funerals dates back to the 1860’s, and today Kevin and Jan, along with their sons, Andrew and Richard, are continuing on the tradition of being the funeral directors Adelaide Hills and Adelaide families know and trust. The Carr family of the Mount Barker district dates back to 1848, having also spanned five generations. To acknowledge these strong family connections, our Mount Barker chapel is known as Carr and Kleemann Chapel. The Strathalbyn side of the business, which dates back to the 1800s, was started by the Caldwell family.
