  1. Steps of Future Cadet Pilot Training Program in Taiwan 1. RESEARCH AND PREPARATION Before applying, future cadets must begin with self-evaluation and research. This includes understanding the physical, financial, and educational requirements of becoming a commercial pilot. 2. MEET ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Age Typically 18–30 years old Education High school diploma minimum; college degree preferred Language Proficient in English (ICAO Level 4+) Health Pass a Class 1 Aviation Medical Exam (done by CAA Taiwan) Citizenship R.O.C. (Taiwan) citizen or permanent resident 3. MEDICAL EXAMINATION Tests Include: Vision (including color perception) Hearing ECG (heart function) Lung function General physical and mental health 4. FLIGHT TRAINING (12– 15 MONTHS) Private Pilot License (PPL) – Basic flying, visual navigation. Commercial Pilot License (CPL) – Advanced maneuvers, flight planning, emergencies. Instrument Rating (IR) – Flying using cockpit instruments in poor weather. Multi-Engine Rating (MER) – Operating multi-engine aircraft.
