  5. Greeting • Good morning, everybody • Good afternoon, everyone • Hello, everyone • Hello there, James • How are you today? I hope you’re all feeling well • How are you getting on? • how’s life? • How are things with you? • Are you feeling better today, Bill?

  6. Introduction • Let me introduce myself. My name is Mr/Mrs/Ms. Kim. I’m your new English teacher. • I’ll be teaching you English this year. • I’ve got two lessons with you each week

  7. Register • Who is absent today? • Who is missing? • Who isn’t here today? • What’s the matter with Diana today? • What’s wrong with Jim today? • Who was absent last time? • Who wasn’t here last Friday? • Why were you absent last Friday, Bill?
