  1. Healthy Roots for Better Plant Growth Healthy Roots for Better Plant Growth The importance of healthy roots •Roots not only anchor the plant in place, but also help them stay securely while resisting the forces of wind, running water, or heavy mudflow. •The root system is also important for taking oxygen, water and nutrients from the soil. From roots, these essential nutrients and oxygen move up to the stems, leaves and blooms. In leaves, they make sugar and energy in presence of sunlight. •Roots also secrete compounds that affect the presence of microorganisms in the soil. These microorganisms are essential to protect plants from disease and encourage more absorption of nutrients from the soil. Therefore, healthy root system is essential to keep plant growing in good condition. Nutrients for root development

  2. Certain nutrients are essential for proper growth and development of plants. These nutrients are naturally present in soil, but their level diminishes over time. Plant growth ceases in the lack of essential nutrients. Therefore, plant root development fertilizers are used to restore nutrients in soil. Phosphorus is one of the most essential nutrients for root growth. Along with that, plants need potassium during their active growing season. Macronutrient: Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (NPK) Phosphorus (P) is one of the three plant macronutrients along with nitrogen (N) and Potassium (K). Because they are required in large amounts by plants, their levels get depleted quickly. Therefore, their levels must be restored in soil through the use of good-quality fertilizers. Together known as NPK fertilizer, they are essential for to add in the soil so that roots and perform their vital functions efficiently so that optimal growth is achieved. In addition to a healthy root system and plant growth, phosphorus is also essential for fruit, flower and seed development. Additionally, it is essential for cell division and photosynthesis. Healthy root system is also necessary for plants to allow better absorption of nutrients from the soil thus maintaining plant’s overall growth and vitality. Fertilizers rich in phosphorus are used to promote healthy root growth and also to correct excessive nitrogen levels. Phosphorus is also important to solve root problems that may result from drought and soil compaction. Plant root development fertilizers have NPK in large quantities. Nowadays, organic fertilizers are widely in use to replenish the nutrients in soil. Livestock manure, and other organically produced fertilizers have high phosphorus content that aid in plant growth. When added to the soil, nutrients get added to the soil slowly that are used by roots for growth and development. Resource URL: https://bit.ly/2FiPDpu
