Advantages of Powder Coating There are several benefits of Powder Coating: • Durability • Thickness and specialised finish capabilities • Environmentally friendly • More efficient use of resources • Curing and drying techniques that are more efficient If you are Looking for metal powder coating in Marlboro then take a look here.
Stages of Powder Coating • Preparation Stage: Before applying the powder coating, the material's surface should be clean or treated if it is covered with dirt, dust, or particles. Masking is also required on the areas which does not need coating. Cleaning, rinsing, etching, blasting, and drying are standard steps in this stage, with wash stations, blast chambers, and dry-off ovens being the most regularly used equipment.
Application stage: Electrostatic spray deposition is used to apply the coating material to most metal objects. A powder spray booth, powder feeder, electrostatic spray gun, and, vary according to the type of gun used, a power unit are all used in this application method. The powder coat gun distributes the fluidized powder material from the feeder unit to the powder coat gun, which is used to both charge the powder and apply it to the substrate. • Fluidized bed powder coating: Heated pieces are either dipped directly into a container of fluidized powder or passed through an electrically charged cloud of powder produced above a vessel of fluidized powder. • Curing Stage: The application of heat to cure the coating forms a network of dendrimer chains. The system is "fixed" or "cured" by applying more heat to the coating. Thermal powder coatings cure over a period of time and at a constant temperature.
