  1. Running Red Lights Can Be Costly

  2. Driving is a privilege and not a right. You can hear this sentiment out of the mouths of parents with teens just approved to drive. Parents relentlessly tell their children about the dangers of driving, but is it really the teenage drivers that we should be worried about? The answer is yes.

  3. Drivers who are between the ages of 16-19 have the highest chance of getting into an accident. In a study distributed by RAND Corporation, it was proven that young drivers between the ages of 15-24 cause 43% of all two-car accidents even though they only represent 13% of the driving population. This startling statistic should tell you that young people need to learn how to drive with caution.

  4. Red Light Errors The RAND Corporation also suggested that because young drivers are more apt to driver more miles and drive more at night. These two combined prove that young drivers are more likely to get into an accident. Young drivers driver more because it is new to them and they want to enjoy the freedom of the open road. This freedom comes with a price.

  5. Running red lights is not the most common reason for an accident. However, it is one of the more dangerous ways to get into an accident. According to the National Center for Statistic and Analysis, around 720 people died in the United States every year. That is almost 2 people every day or 60 people a month. Over 126,000 people were injured due to running a red light. Between 2011 and 2015, communities paid up to $336 million for red light fatalities. There is no real reason for a person to run a red light unless the driver is distracted, drowsy, drunk, willingly runs it, or makes a poor judgment.

  6. The Process of Settling Car Accident Claims Every accident begins a new chapter in any firm. Why? Because with each new accident, they’re dealing with a special circumstance involving clients from different walks, neighborhoods, you name it. They treat every new case individually instead of throwing your case into a stack of ‘boilerplate’ cases.

  7. What To Do If you or someone you love is injured because someone ran a red light then you need to speak with Los Angeles car accident lawyer at JML Law. They can ensure you that you are getting fairly compensated for the injuries you sustained from the accident. Car accidents happen, but injuries are costly to you and your family.
