  2. A single magnetic lock, also known as an electromagnetic lock or maglock, is a type of locking device that uses an electromagnet to secure a door or gate The basic operation of a magnetic lock involves an electromagnet mounted on the door frame and a metal plate (armature plate) attached to the door itself. When the lock is engaged, an electrical current is passed through the electromagnet, creating a magnetic field that attracts the metal plate and holds the door securely closed.

The Locks are designed to meet fire/life safety applications by providing an auxilary locking mechanism that has no moving parts.

  5. Magnetic locks offer several advantages over traditional mechanical locks. They are fail-safe by design, meaning that power is required to keep the lock engaged. In case of power failure or an emergency situation, the lock will automatically release, allowing for quick and easy evacuation. Magnetic locks are also relatively easy to install and can be integrated with access control systems, such as key cards, keypads, or biometric readers, for enhanced security and convenience.
