Users interact with social media using web-based software or applications on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Although being widely used in America and Europe, Asia, particularly Indonesia, leads the world in social media usage. Globally, there are more than 4.5 billion users of social media. User- generated material and customized accounts are common on social media. The number of social media users in the US is anticipated to reach over 257 million by 2023. The largest social media networks are:  Facebook (2.74 billion users)  YouTube (2.29 billion users)  WhatsApp (2 billion users)  Facebook Messenger (1.3 billion users)  Instagram (1.22 billion users)  WeChat (1.21 billion users)  TikTok (689 million users)
