Alcohol does not need explanation but drug needs clarification in our subject what we are talking of drugs are nothing but prohibitive drugs used for so called mental enjoyment which is nothing but abuse. Alcohol, Drug Clinical Evaluation Alcohol does not need explanation but drug needs clarification in our subject what we are talking of drugs are nothing but prohibitive drugs used for so called mental enjoyment which is nothing but abuse. These people if drive on the road can be dangerous to other people and they can injure or kill others on road under the influence of alcohol or drugs. There are some other prescribed Drunk (Alcohol influence) driving or driving under influence (DUI) of drug is a criminal offence in India and several countries. There are various other terms like DUI. Driving while intoxicated (DWI), Operating while intoxicated (OWI). There are age limit for drunk driving between 18-25 years by different states but even alcohol limits are prescribed in blood (30 mg per 100 ml) anything beyond is treated as DUI case. Some states have totally banned alcohol while driving. The same also applies to drug so any person under influence of drug to such an extent that he/she is incapable of exercising any control on the vehicle. We have now understood the term DUI and its consequences. Our focal point is alcohol drug, Clinical Evaluation. Means Clinical evaluation for DUI and this is not a clinical evaluation normally used for nay new formulation in Pharmaceuticals or in medical devices. This is a requirement in most of the states of USA wherein any person caught under DUI will have to undergo clinical evaluation based on individual states rule and based on alcohol influence measured through breadth analyser. This evaluation will also decide restoration of driving license revoked during arrest. If charge is for reckless driving, There are some approved bodies in various states in USA who are treated as recognised bodies to conduct clinical evaluation for person accused of DUI. Most of the times many attorneys recommend clinical evaluation done before appearance in court so that so that they can present good faith to the court. Clinical evaluation is a process wherein one to one session is held between DUI accused person and substance abuse professional. These are question-answer sessions where in professional asks many questions and finally makes as assessment and makes report. The professional judges the substance usage effect on behaviour in several types of drugs used for abuse. (Methamphetamines,cocaine, heroin, marijuana). Strict confidentiality is maintained. This is sort of a treatment prescribed by professional. The treatment means, attendance and participation in the type of program recommended by evaluator. Let us understand comprehensively what is “DUI Evaluation.” They are court ordered and consists of set of comprehensive questions designed to determine whether DUI offender meets the diagnosis of substance abuse or addiction or has misused the substance that led to DUI arrest. Every state has different DUI laws and have separate set of questions however there are some usual questions too. One of the approaches is chemical dependency assessment for court system to determine whether the DUI arrested person has drug or alcohol problem? The evaluation is to assess level of drug or alcohol use so that recommended treatment can be prescribed. The objective is to prevent another DUI in future by preventing substance abuse. Drug and chemical clinical evaluation takes about two hours. It will include an interview and questionnaires focussing on past and current alcohol and drug use. After this process is over, risk level assessment report is given which contains recommendation of which DUI class program is best

There are two types of treatment recommendation. 1.Short term treatment: Counselling session about 6-12. 2.Long Term treatment: 4-12 Months.
