Apple M1X Chipset Accompanying the Macbook Air in 2022 To put things in the proper perspective, no discussions about Apple M1X, the new processor from Apple in the M1 range, can be complete without talking about the Macbook pro M1X because the two go hand-in-hand. However, following the release of the Macbook Pro comprising M1 Pro and M1 Max processors, we have to wait for the release of M1X. But the chipset and the notebook provide the proper context to the discussion. After all, knowing about the chipset features would be only an academic exercise without any scope of judging its performance. To know about the chipset performance, you must consider how much improvement it could bring to the Macbook Pro and Macbook Air, which many expected to use the M1X chipset. Although there is yet no confirmation from Apple about using M1X in the Macbook Air, the combination seems evident after the release of the M1 Macbook Air in late 2020.
