  1. FOUNDER’S ADVICE HOW DO YOU GROW FROM A FOUNDER TO A LEADER KRISHNA KUMAR founder, simplilearn

  2. KRISHNA KUMAR Don't worry about becoming a leader. The famous Vince Lombardi quote most of us have heard, “Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile."

  3. KRISHNA KUMAR Facing the reality. As a founder, it is important to unlearn a lot of things and learn new things that are critical for the idea to formulate into a business. In the process we meet and hire a lot of smart people and should be ready to hear more No's and most importantly face disagreements and opposing views from people you hire. Ego is the last thing that should be on your mind.

  4. KRISHNA KUMAR Trust your team. A founder should always remember that while the idea is their own, for the business to grow it is imperative to patiently listen to his/her team who has expertise in a certain area. At times, it is natural to feel it is my idea but a business is nurtured with people, your team and is never an individual's victory.

  5. KRISHNA KUMAR Take chances. When the team is trusted and feels safe enough to take chances, they push themselves to achieve goals and go that extra mile. Most startups are scared of this, but having an attitude to fight the odds and taking chances has always worked for me.

  6. KRISHNA KUMAR These are some of the things I learnt over time and firmly believed in, which not just made me a successful founder but enabled me to grow as a compassionate leader.
