  1. Useful Tips to Reduce Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) Dependence on computers increases over time, indeed today a large number of people spend long hours in front of computers. This increased computer use leads to significant vision problems, one of which is Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). Recent studies indicate that if you spend two hours or more a day in front of a computer, you could suffer from CVS.

  2. What is Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS)? CVS describes a group of symptoms such as eye strain, dry eyes, burning or tired eyes, headaches, blurred vision, and neck and shoulder pain caused by prolonged computer use. These symptoms occur because the eyes and brain react differently to words on a computer screen than to printed text.. Working on computers is unavoidable, but Computer Vision Syndrome symptoms can be avoided by taking a few simple precautions. Don't wait to suffer. Make these adjustments now. Use the right lighting Wherever you work, whether in the office or at home, make sure your workspace is properly lit. Too much light will cause glare and too little light will cause eye strain. wear computer glasses Computer glasses are specially designed glasses with an anti-reflective lens. These lenses eliminate computer glare and radiation, enhancing the viewing experience. These glasses can also be worn by users with corrective vision by adding an anti-reflective coating to their lenses. Correct computer configuration One of the easiest ways to reduce eye strain is to adjust your monitor's brightness and contrast settings. There is no right or wrong setting, experiment until you feel comfortable. Adjust text size and color 1

  3. Use an easy-to-read font size that won't strain your eyes. Also, use black text on a white background and avoid busy backgrounds. Sometimes you have no control, but do it when you can. Take a break! Always take breaks at appropriate intervals, drink a glass of water, or walk a few yards in your work area to stretch. These few minutes of break will allow your eyes and your muscles to relax. Clean your screen The simplest tip is to clean your screen often. Dust, fingerprints, smudges or dots are distracting and make reading difficult. Often you don't even see the dust; you just look past it, but it's there. Therefore, get into the habit of cleaning the screen frequently. Place the copy correctly Looking back and forth between a print and your computer screen causes eye strain. To lessen discomfort, place the print as close to your monitor as possible. Also, use copy support if possible to keep the copy straight. Distance between your monitor and your eyes Never sit too far from the system or too close to it, always keep an appropriate distance. The recommended distance between your eyes and your monitor is 18 to 28 inches. Correct placement of monitor and keyboard. Ideally, your computer screen and keyboard should be positioned in front of you so that you don't twist your body while simultaneously typing and reading on the screen. Also, position the monitor at or slightly below eye level to avoid rapid neck movements. 2

  4. Without the same posture for more than 30 minutes. Change your body position frequently while maintaining good posture. A static posture for a long period of time will cause fatigue and pain. In the current working day, do not use a computer/laptop, etc. it is not an option, but its effect on the eyes can be avoided by taking proper precautions. Make these precautions a must to ensure a stress-free life. For more information on treatment options that are available for digital eye strain treatment 3
