Bone marrow is one such thing. It is a soft sponge-like tissue found in the middle of almost every other bone. These bone marrow helps in forming different type of blood cells such as- Red blood cells, White blood cells, fat, cartilage and platelets. There are two types of marrow red and yellow. Red marrow is mainly found in your flat bones such as your hip and vertebrae and as your age increases your marrow turns yellow due to a rise in fat cells.
