  1. Exercise Myths

  2. Myth 1: I can target my fat loss Fact: Cardio exercises burn fat all over. Initially, you may not lose weight from the desired parts, but sooner you will notice the change once you combine the exercise with less calorie consumption. However, it's not possible to perform an exercise focusing on a single body part and lose weight specifically from there.

  3. Myth 2:I can do crunches to spot reduce my belly fat. Fact: Though, crunches help tighten your abdominal muscles and giving it a perfect shape, but it does not reduce the fat layer over it. Similarly, it happens in case of the thighs. Crunches make your skin firm, but do not reduce the fat exactly.

  4. Myth 3: The longer I work out the more calories I burn. Fact: It's not true that the longer you work out, the more you will reduce. Rather include high intensity exercises taking your minutes than hours. For instance: intense walk having a few jumping exercises helps burn faster than a simple walk of hours. So, prefer intensity burns along with the cardio.

  5. Myth 4: If I don't break a sweat I haven't done anything worthwhile. Fact: Every person has different points of sweating. Some sweat faster while some face very less sweating. Additionally, there are some exercises which work on your muscles and the sweating is not required. You may do yoga, stretching, balance exercises without sweating and get the results also.

  6. Myth 5: Lifting weights will make women bulky Fact: Lifting weights does not make women bulky rather it tones up their muscles. The toned muscles take less space than the fat and help look sleek and pretty.
