  1. Heterogenous Substances

  2. A heterogenous mixture is a combination of two or more substances that can retain their physical properties and can be separated into individual components by physical means. Example Pizza is a heterogenous substance because it consists of many types of different ingredients, each part of the pizza is also different like the crust and the cheese and many different toppings and it can be separated by physical means.

  3. There are many different physical means by which you can separate individual properties in a heterogenous mixture. Physical Means Distillation Chromatography Filtration

  4. An oil filter demonstrates filtration By using a mesh of synthetic fibers to filter out the unwanted debris and particles from the car's engine oil As the oil keeps your engine clean Filtration is another physical mean by which individual properties can be retained. Filtration the process in which solid particles in a liquid or gaseous fluid are removed by the use of a filter medium that permits the fluid to pass through but retains the solid particles.

  5. Distillation is the process of heating a liquid mixture to form a vapor and then cooling that vapor to get a liquid. Distillation is used to purify a liquid by separating the components of a liquid mixture

  6. The chromatography process is where a chemical mixture carried by a liquid or gas is separated into components as a result of differential distribution of the solutes as they flow around or over a stationary liquid or solid phase. Paper chromatography is a great example of chromatography because it separates the compounds based on the solubility in the stationary phase and mobile phase . When In the amino acid separation by paper chromatography, the solvent travel across the paper, it carries the amino acids with it.

  7. .223 round going through ballistic gel. What is ballistic gel used for? How is ballistic gelatin made? First, you will need to purchase Knox gelatin Second The military uses this find some type of container ballistic gel to test fill up with water Third every the penetration of cup of water you will need to different ammunition put about 8 ounces of Knox calibers Or to simulate gelatin in your mold human flesh

  8. A colloid is a heterogeneous mixture in which particles of one substance are suspended in substance. Making colloids could be as easy as making jello as a desert or making ballistic gelatin to test out guns and ammo.
