This is the final day of National School Meals Week • Aim of today is to celebrate everything we have achieved this week • A fun themed menu will be served at lunchtime • Funny food masks are available to make and wear • Get Giggling Activity Sheets for you to complete • We are going to look at what giggling is and why we do it • As well as how giggling makes us feel Get Giggling

Giggling is another way of describing laughing • We looked up the word laughing in the dictionary and it explained that it meant:- • “to show emotion (as mirth, joy, or scorn) with a chuckle or explosive vocal sound - to become amused” • We usually giggle when something amuses us – this could be a joke, when being tickled, when someone says something funny or watching something funny on TV or in a film. What is giggling?

  4. Laughing reduces stress and makes us feel good • It is good exercise for our stomach muscles and internal organs • When laughter is shared it can join people together • It can make you forget pain • Laughter relaxes the whole body • It has lots of health benefits so is good for our general well-being Why is it so important to laugh? Watch something funny or read some jokes to make you laugh. You will be amazed how good you feel.
