  1. Originally sent to our subscribers on April 21, 2020 Dear customers, Hope all is well and you and your family are staying safe. I am writing to give everyone a quick update. Unfortunately, our shop was not able to secure any federal loans (PPP or EIDL) as of this date even though we applied on the first day the applications became available. Our lifesavers have been the GoFundMe campaign as well as a microloan from the city of Los Angeles (shout-out to Derek). We have kept our incredible staff on payroll in hopes that the federal programs will receive additional funding. In the meantime, we are working tirelessly to transition our business into a delivery model available to all of Los Angeles. More on this exciting transition coming very soon! I would also like to use this network to announce that I have made the very difficult decision of listing 8044 W. 3rd St location for sale (asset sale + lease take-over). You never know, people might be looking for a fantastic restaurant location, which it certainly is. It can also be easily transformed into a delivery concept. And while I wish we could hold on just a little bit longer since summer is right around the corner, the uncertainty is just too great. Once there is a second round of federal funding available, the floodgates will open once again and I don’t want to be in a position where I miss out again. The greatest help right is now is if you could help me spread the news and forward this email to as many interested parties as usual.
