Maincausesofacutepancreatitisaregallstones,alcohol,drugs(likefurosemide, azathioprine,steroids,andothers)andhypertriglyceridemiaandhypercalcemia. What are the symptoms ofthe disease? The main symptoms are severe pain in the upper abdomen which can radiate to back. Associated with vomiting and respiratory difficulty. If the disease is severe there may be fever, decreased urineoutputorbleedingfromthe GITract. WhatisthetreatmentforpancreatitisinDelhi? Thetreatmentofthediseasecanbedividedintotwoorthreephases Istphaseisduringthefirstweekofthedisease:Itisthecriticalcare phaseinwhich ICU care is required for the severe cases.
