  1. 7 STEPS TO SETUP SETEK EXTENDER USING SMARTPHONE

  2. 1. UNBOXING First of all, open the box. Here you find the WiFi extender and user manual inside the box. Take out the extender and check there is no defect in it.

  3. 2. MAKE CONNECTION BETWEEN ROUTER AND EXTENDER Now time to connect the extender to the router. First, keep the extender close to the existing router. Make sure that the router is turned off during connection. Take an Ethernet cable; connect one side of the cable in the internet port of the router and another side in the SetekWiFi extender.

  4. 3. GIVE THE POWER TO EXTEND After making a connection, plug the SetekWiFi Extender into the wall socket and turn it on. Also turn on the existing router. A Setek extender is the same as a power adapter; you can directly plug it in the power outlet.

  5. 4. CONNECT WITH SMARTPHONE Take any smart phone and turn its cellular network off. Open its WiFi and connect your mobile to the default network named SETEK_EXTENDER. At the time of the first connection, the extender does not ask for any password. You will need to set this up later.

  6. 5. LOGIN TO WEB INTERFACE When you successfully connect your mobile to the extender, and then go to the web browser like Chrome on your mobile phone. Type IP addresses 192.168.10.1 into the address bar and push enter. Now it will ask for login details; here fill in the default username and password that are mentioned on the username and label. After clicking the LOGIN button, you will enter the setup interface of the extender.

  7. 6. SELECT NETWORK TO EXTENDER On the setup page, click on the WiFi Range Extender option. Now you will see a list of networks. Select the network and enter their password, which you want to boost, and click on the SAVE button.

  8. 7. RELOCATE EXTENDER After selecting the network, follow the onscreen instruction and set the new SSID and password for the extender. And use this to connect the devices. Then move the extender to that place where the signals of the existing router are weak and slow. Now you complete the setup of the Setek extender using a smartphone.
