Project Description • A new substation (called Arrow Substation) tapping the LRS-Story 345 kV line adjacent to Archer Substation • A 345/230 kV transformer at Arrow Substation with a minimum rating of 600 MVA • A short (less than 2 miles) 230kV Arrow – Archer transmission line • A 10-mile 230 kV Arrow – Cheyenne transmission line • Upgrade terminal equipment on the LRS – Ault 345 kV line to raise the rating above 2000 A • Upgrade terminal equipment on the LRS – Arrow 345 kV line to raise the rating above 2000 A

Results • New Non-Simultaneous TOT3 Rating of 1844 MW Achieved • Limit-Defining Cell: • CPP at 243 MW • Pawnee Area Generation at 280 MW • LRS at 1140 MW • DC Ties Set East-West (Importing) at 300 MW • No Dynamic Stability Concerns • No Interactions with TOT4A or 4B • No Impact on TOT7 Transfer Capability

Timeline • Final Draft Completed and Submitted to PRG July 22nd • Sent Final Report to PRG August 17th • Next PRG Meeting Monday, August 23rd • Request Approval of Archer Interconnection Phase II Study Report • Start Discussions on TOT3/TOT7 Operating Interactions • Send Report to PCC with PRG Approval, for 30-day PCC Member Review • Request Phase III Status • ISD 4Q 2013
