  1. 3-4 opening sequence/film ideas Fabian warriner

  2. 1. Whole film idea • A middle-aged man with a stressful career juggling the loss of his 7 year old daughter, drug abuse and being apart from his wife who hasn’t contacted him since the death, has to work on his own to make it somewhere and leave his mark on the world. The man realizes his comedic talent whilst talking to a group of people and making mockery of his own circumstances. Over time he gains management and gets on stage to become one of the most successful comedians in history.

  3. 1. Opening sequence idea • Montage of a broken, dirty home, with empty beer bottles on the floor and dirty pans in the sink. We see a close up of his hand hanging off the bed as it tilts downwards to a phone with diegetic sound of a long beep coming from it. We then see a tracking shot from birds eye to show a middle-aged man (our main protagonist) from feet to head, lying in only his boxers.

  4. 2. Whole film • A woman gets caught up in a criminal group after her boyfriend sends her on a trip to deliver a ‘package’ she is made to help them take control of a bank and keep the hostages under control, but secretly she helps them to escape.

  5. 2. Opening sequence • Woman travelling in a car, over the shoulder shot from back seat and close-up from passenger seat. There would also be close ups of the mirrors to show different angles of her face. There would only be the diegetic sound of the radio and the car driving, and maybe there could also be shots of her getting angry at other drivers and beeping them.

  6. 3. Whole film Set in the Victorian era, a young boy is forced into working for a rich family who are all snobby and self absorbent. The boy is treated poorly and is given very little food, meaning he is forced to steal from them. The boy is one day caught, beaten terribly and moved to an orphanage which was no better than the home. He eventually gets adopted by a nice, wealthy couple and experiences the luxuries of a wealthy child.

  7. 3. Opening sequence • Montage of close-up shots of the boys hand holding a duster and dusting different things such as a bookshelf or a shelf, with non-diegetic sound of operatic, classical music. There would also be close ups of the boys old, dirty shoes and filthy clothes, with the contrast of a wealthy-looking room, for the time, in the background.
