  2. The fall of 2023 marked the beginning of our long- term volunteering project in Siena, Italy. We spent the fall and winter picturesque art institute. in a

  3. Siena Art Institute Siena Art Institute A small non-profit art organization based in a magical medieval town in Tuscany. A place that hosts international students, residency artists as well as various workshops and events. The institute emphasizes fostering a diverse and supportive community, connecting participants with the locals, and encouraging social responsibility.

  4. Our responsibilities: helping with events supporting international students promoting the institute preparing space for workshops and classes taking pictures and videos for social media

  5. EVENTS EVENTS December was a busy month full of events!! 1. Fall Students’ Exhibition The exchange students presented their work. As volunteers, we were helping with setting up the spaces and then, documenting the event.

  6. 2. Christmas Event The Christmas charity event took place to raise funds for the modernization of the Institute's garden. The project aims to establish a disability-friendly space. Together with other volunteers, we prepared many itmes for sale at the Christmas donation market: ceramic tiles tea bags with herbs from our garden tote bags postcards, bookmarks, notebooks garlands

  7. 3. STARTERS A series of weekly events where various artists present their work and share about their artistic process. A theme for December was “Open to Interpretations - Practice?” What is Social

  8. ESC on-arrival training ESC on-arrival training In February we had a chance to participate in the on- arrival training for volunteers in Italy. It was an amazing opportunity to network with international youth, learn more about our rights and duties as volunteers, and also take part in creative workshops. We worked on our social skills such as intercultural learning, conflict management and communication within a workplace.
