  1. CHHATTISGARH NEWS Chhattisgarh News: 2 killed, 1 injured in road accident in Durg Two people were killed and one injured in a road accident in Durg district of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday. The accident occurred when a speeding car collided with a motorcycle on National Highway 6. The deceased have been identified as Suresh Yadav (35) and his wife Usha Yadav (30). The injured person has been identified as Suresh's brother Shivendra Yadav (32). The family was on their way to their village in Raipur district when the accident occurred. The car driver fled the scene after the accident. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. In other news, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking a probe into the construction of toilets in the state during the BJP regime. Baghel alleged that the toilets were constructed in a haphazard manner and were of poor quality. The state government has also announced that it will provide financial assistance to disabled voters and those over 80 years of age to enable them to vote from home in the upcoming assembly elections. The Chhattisgarh government has also decided to introduce remote voting for elderly and disabled voters, women-run booths, and security upgrades in Maoist-affected areas for the upcoming assembly elections.
