  2. Introduction www.entranzz.com Biochemistry is the study of the chemistry of, and relating to, biological organisms. It forms a bridge between biology and chemistry by studying how complex chemical reactions and chemical structures give rise to life and life's processes. Biochemistry is sometimes viewed as a hybrid branch of organic chemistry which specializes in the chemical processes and chemical transformations that take place inside of living organisms, but the truth is that the study of biochemistry should generally be considered neither fully "biology" nor fully "chemistry" in nature. Biochemistry incorporates everything in size between a molecule and a cell and all the interactions between them.

  3. Eligibility www.entranzz.com The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing B.Sc. (Biochemistry) degree is qualifying 10+2 or equivalent examination in Science stream with a minimum of 50% marks secured from a recognized board of the country. Also, some reputed colleges and institutes do conduct entrance examination to get admission to their B.Sc. (Biochemistry) degree course. Selection to the degree course in these colleges is based on marks secured in the final merit i.e. total marks aggregated in the final exams of 10+2 and the entrance exam.
