Putting the Linksys RE7000 in range extender mode • Connect a power outlet to the Linksys RE7000. • Connect your device to Linksys Extender Setup - xxx, the Linksys RE7000's default Wi-Fi name, using a computer or a mobile device. To begin the setup procedure, you should be logged into this Wi-Fi. • Open a browser on your computer or mobile device and type "http://extender.linksys.com" or "192.168.1.1" in the Address bar to start the setup. • To begin setup, click. • After creating your password hint and admin password, click Save. • Click Next after selecting As a wireless range extender. • When prompted, choose your current Wi-Fi and type your password. • Make your wireless password and extended network SSIDs. • Your device will automatically search for and upgrade any available new firmware.
