Solution • Development of web interfaces between client’s and Carriers’ systems which should include place all the major shipment booking operations like: • Booking request, • Receive booking confirmation/ rejection / partial confirmation • Cancel booking request • Support for manual intervention • Support for different communication modes such as • direct EDI exchange with carriers • EDI exchange via Inttra • manual updates based on mails, phone calls • Inttra desktop • Carrier websites • Development of web services between the Carrier Booking Platform and Client’s data warehouse to retrieve and update booking related details. • Real time availability of Carrier Booking statistics related to timeliness of responses, technical quality of responses, rejection ratio, confirmation ratio and partial ratio etc.

Benefits • Generated booking on an average 50% faster than manual booking with online templates that eliminated telephone calls, emails and faxes • Reduced data entry errors while auto-recommendations can catch potential errors • Automatic notifications provided proactive shipping status and the ability to track on-going status • Managed booking on an exception basis and alert partners & customers of important changes through notification system • SOA based design helps in integration with new applications with minimal changes. • Reuse of the same component inside organization can save cost and time. • Client specific report generation through web services integration to client’s reporting tool
