Endothelium -Theinnermostlayerofthecorneaismade up of endothelium.Functionof endothelium isto maintainfluidbalance byactingasa pump,expelling excesswaterasitisabsorbedintothe stroma.Withoutthis specialized function, the stroma could become waterlogged and hazy and opaque in appearance, also reducing vision.
