  1. Your Dog Doesn’t Recognize You on Mobile Devices? You are not alone. Are you too concerned that your dog isn’t interested in talking to you over phone? It happens. And you are not alone. A lot of people seem concerned that that their pets cannot recognize them or their voice over the phone and would love to know why. The fact of the matter is, dogs can recognize their owners on television, it just confuses them to see your face pop up on some screen and not the rest of you. This is why sometimes after seeing their owner onscreen, dogs check out behind the television to see if there’s anyone on the backside. There are several theories prevailing as to why dogs cannot accomplish this, with one being that smaller screens of cell phones and tablets usually make it harder for dogs to recreate the world as they perceive it.

  2. Another theory claims that since there are 220 million olfactory receptors in your dog’s nose as compared to a mere 5 million in yours, your furry friend may be far more intent on the scintillating scent of you than a face similar to yours on the phone. A primary reason why scent hounds such as a beagle or basset are least interested in phone calls. Whatever the truth, the bottom line is, if the phone calls aren’t working out for you and you are worried about your dog missing you, there are other easy ways you can try. For instance, keep greetings and partings low key to lessen the chance of your arrival or departure becoming a source of anxiety for your pet dog. Also, you can try to keep the area clean. That’s the place he’s more likely to go when alone or upset. Try dog pooper scooper services if you do not have the time to clean the yard yourself. Yes, it's worth it. You do not want your dog to get dirty or pick up any disease while you are away. Do you? Lastly, and I hope it gives you some comfort to know that while you are away, your dog spends most of its time sleeping. So, maybe you are worrying over nothing.
