  1. TYPES OF CONCUSSION MILD CONCUSSION (GRADE 1) Temporary disruption of brain function with no loss of consciousness, resolving within 15 minutes. MODERATE CONCUSSION (GRADE 2) Involves longer-lasting symptoms like confusion and dizziness, lasting more than 15 minutes. SEVERE CONCUSSION (GRADE 3) Loss of consciousness, symptoms such as memory loss, disorientation, and persistent headaches. POST-CONCUSSION SYNDROME Prolonged condition where symptoms are headaches, dizziness, and cognitive issues persist for weeks or months. SPORTS-RELATED CONCUSSION Occurs during athletic activities; symptoms include dizziness, confusion, and delayed reaction times. RECURRENT CONCUSSION Repeated head injuries can lead to cumulative effects, long-term cognitive and neurological impairments.
