Decking could be used as a part of garden landscaping, to extend the living area of a house. Composite deckingis designed to give your garden the look and feel of traditional timber decking. This is a man- made building product made up of mixed wood fibers, plastic, and a small amount of bonding agent. This mix is heated, formed into board-shaped lengths, and then cooled. This decking is used frequently as an alternative to stone-based features such as patios. Until the 1990s, wood was the only material of choice for deck construction. The new concept of composite decking began to appear at this time. These new products offered the look and the workability of wood with improved features. They were more water resistant and required less maintenance. Over time, these lower-maintenance decking options increased in popularity. This is when composite fence boards earned their popularity for their glamorous look and their ability to sustain a long life. Composite fence panels are sold in either grooved or solid-sided versions. The uneven composite boards are fastened together with hidden deck fasteners of clips. The solid boards are typically face-screwed. The common length that most composite deck boards manufacturer produces is of length 12, 16, or 20 feet. The pleasure of having a beautiful wood deck in our house will not last for long as wood deteriorates quickly being a natural product.
