  1. ​(361) 492-5846 MEET OUR TEAM - Coastal Bend Distilling, Co Kenneth Bethune is often asked, "Why a distillery?" and "Why Beeville?“ When any other entrepreneur would want to establish business in booming Texas cities like San Antonio or Austin, Bethune wanted to put down roots in an understated city that was a part of history. With his family ranch not far off in Live Oak County, the city of Beeville played a role in his youth and in his vision as an entrepreneur. The other question - Why a distillery? - well that answer came a little more easily. It sounded fun. And it is.Bethuneestablished Coastal Bend Distilling Co. in 2016 and we opened our doors in January 2019vodka. With a small but mighty team behind him, Bethune's vision is to grow and establish a respected quality spirit brand that can hold its own against any other label and gives back to the community that we love so dearly.

We're located in downtown Beeville, Texas at 201 North Madison. ​The block used to be the location of the Grant Lumber company and hardware store, later the Skid Mart lumber and hardware store. The old lumber yard and empty land has been cleared to make way for a new distillery building, while the original 1800's Grant Lumber store is being renovated and converted into a dance hall and event center. Due to a small team, tours will only be scheduled during larger distillery events. Check our Facebook page or our Event page to see what's coming up & if we'll offer a tour that day.
