  2. ? BRIEF OVERVIEW ? Kedarnath Kedarnath is a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,583 meters. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and part of the Char Dham Yatra. The temple is believed to have been built by the Pandavas and later revived by Adi Shankaracharya. Pilgrims trek 16 km from Gaurikund to reach the shrine, surrounded by stunning snow-capped peaks and the Mandakini River. The temple is open from April/May to November, and remains closed in winter due to heavy snowfall. Kedarnath is not just a pilgrimage—it's a powerful spiritual journey in the heart of the Himalayas.

  4. Day 1: Delhi to Sonprayag Departure from Delhi at 10 pm in a tempo traveller (AC). En route, stop at Devprayag Sangam, the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. Continue the overnight journey to Sonprayag. Arrive in Sonprayag by afternoon and check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Sonprayag hotel. Day 2: Sonprayag to Kedarnath Wake up early, freshen up, and check out from the hotel by 5 am. Head towards Gaurikund to begin the 17 km trek to Kedarnath (approx. 8–10 hours).
