In the Indian Hindu tradition there are three types of runa that is Pitru runa, Rushi runa and Paramatma runa. If a man practices pooja and fasting etc, as our dharma shastras tell us, he gets the relief of Permatma Runa by doing tripindi shraddha, pitru puja, the man gets relief from Pitru Runa. The Bramhins are expected to perform all kinds of Yadnya, Shraddha, Tarpan. It can be achieved every day on a routine basis. Tripindi Shraddha is also known as Kamya Shraddha. Pret becomes the soul of the deceased person whose Shraddha has not been performed consistently for a period of 3 years (Just like a Ghost). Amavas is The Day of Pitaras. On this day, Shraddha ought to be done.

Where and when is it possible to perform TripindiShraddha? • Shravan, Kartik, Pousha, Magh, Phalgun, Vaishakh, Tripindishraddha may be performed on any day of Panchami, Ashtami, Ekadashi, Trayodashi, Chaturdashi, or Amavasya in any part (Shukla or Krushna) of the month. • From 16 September to 15 November, Sun usually stays drilling in Virgo or Libra.

During this time, pitars are allowed to come freely onto the earth. • During this time, it is also more advantageous to do Tripindi. • TripindiShraddha can be completed only at Trimbakeshwar, which is a pilgrim of Lord Siva. • Tripindi can be done at any time during the year, in Trimbakeshwar.

  7. The Right to do Tripindi: • The couple, husband and wife, are entitled to jointly do the Tripindi. • A widower is also allowed to do this. This formality may be carried out by an unmarried person as well. • If the woman had gone to another family after her marriage. • Also, she is not eligible for her parents to perform the Tripindi or Shraddha. • But she can do tripindi or shraddha for those deceased who were linked to her husband's family. • A brand new unwashed white dress should be worn at the time of execution of this formality.

Tripindi's Good results: • Tripindi has to be done, as per the procedure specified in Shastra. • And one should have full faith in God to get the best results out of it. • Some people have problems with their relatives or parents when they are alive. • They carry out many formalities after their death in order to demonstrate and retain their so-called social status. • Currently, such show functions take place on large scales.

But by doing this, we can't please the soul of the deceased person for whom all this activity is done. • And we have to face several difficulties after doing this because of the soul's dissatisfaction. • If Narayan Nagbali is completed, then there is no need for Tripindi to be done separately.
