They are people who design and maintain projects such as roads, dams, bridges, canals, and residential or commercial development projects. Also, they are responsible for the urbanization of an area. And, it is a three-year course. Step 1: You need to appear for the exam conducted by various Boards. After that, students are admitted to the Diploma colleges by their rank. Step 2: After this, you will be given the Diploma. You can take a job as a junior engineer or get admission in the second year of B.Tech.

However, the average salary of a person with a degree in Civil Engineering is about INR 3 lacs to 30 lacs per annum with the years of experience. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level exam conducted every year for admission M.Tech and PHd at IITs, NITs and IIITs.
