The hall s dedicated as the Nobel Laureate Dr.C.V. Raman was associated with the university and declared his works at the university premises winning him a Nobel. Moreover, the university has numerous MOU’s with national and international educational institutes of high capacities. This MoU does not only boosts the performance and changes the environment of the university but also increases the university’s visibility in the nation and international space.

  4. Campuses Initially, the university operated out of two colleges Central college and Visvesvaraya College of Engineering. Courses and Programs The university offers the UG, PG, and Doctoral levels. Moreover, the courses are not only available at the university campus but also through a number of colleges. In total, the university has 320+ colleges and institutes that offer courses. The courses available at the university are in the following stream. Accounting, Commerce, Management Studies, Mass Com, Design, Hospitality, Banking Finance, and Insurance, Engineering, Arts, aviation, etc. Likewise, the top courses available at the university are B.Com, BBA, BCA, MBA, M.Sct, B.Tech, M.Tech, LLM, etc. furthermore Ph.D., certificate, and diploma courses are also available at the university. Placements The university has an excellent placement cell that looks after the placement needs of the university.   6. HISTORY The university was not always a university. In 1886 a college was established by the Britishers the college known as Central college Bangalore was later transformed by UGC post-independence into Bangalore University. The university however was formed after bifurcating Mysore University in 1964. The university operated from the central college campus until 1972. In 1973 it started its operation at the Janabharathi Campus. Likewise, the university’s library is also the oldest library in all of Bangalore. It is also notable that Nobel Laureate Physicist Sir C.V. Raman also was associated with the University. Furthermore, in the past, the university also has produced stalwarts one of whom is Bharat Ratna Sir M.Visvesvaraya.

The hostel facilities at the Jana Bharathi Campus have six boys hostel and one ladies hostel. Both the boy’s and lady’s hostel houses facilities like dining, reading room, drinking water, reading room, newspaper, and Tv room. Moreover, the hostels can house 1785+ boys and around 180, girls Laboratories The university has separate labs available for separate streams of studies. For engineering streams labs like civil engineering lab, Electrical lab, Data Structure lab and programming lab among others. Furthermore, core science labs like a chemistry lab, etc are also available at the university premises. Other Facilities: Furthermore the campus has numerous other facilities available some of the facilities are.
