  1. Drug rehab centers in United States are providing invaluable services in the form of drug rehab programs to those addicted to drug and alcohol. All of these drug rehab centersarenot alike as each has its own program options, staff qualifications, cost, credentials and effectiveness. There are however, some fears among the drug and alcohol addicts in undergoing various drug rehab treatment programs that are being rendered at these centers. Some of the most common fears for not undergoing drug and alcohol rehab treatment at these rehab centers include: • Detoxification and withdrawal fears: Drug addicts in majority experience withdrawal symptoms during their addiction. However, they are able to stop the withdrawal symptoms by taking more drug substances. They also know how tough these symptoms to be controlled are. Therefore, they do not want to go to these centers for getting detoxification treatment without consuming or having their share of drugs or alcohol. Why addicts fear drug rehab centers

  2. 2.Fear of loss of reputation: Drug addicts are found in all societal strata whether they are rich or poor/homeless. The fear for loss of reputation is mostly found in rich, famous and influential people in the society. These people do not want to be or get exposed as they stand to lose a great deal if publicized about their drug addiction. Therefore, they get refused to get being treated at these centers and mistakenly believe that they are in control of the situation. 3. Fear of losing relationships: Another common fear among the drug addicts is of loosing relationships with families, friends and other acquaintances. These people fear that getting admitted into drug addiction centers will create a painful separation from their family members. Moreover, they do not want to spend time among strangers and in unfamiliar surroundings.   3. 4. Change in body structure: The common side effects of drug addition are weight loss and decreased appetite. People losing weight by taking drugs in the course of their weight reduction plans sometimes gets addicted to these drugs. These people fear that on discontinuing these drugs result in gaining body weight or an abrupt change in their body structure. 5. Fear of facing old trauma: During the drug treatment programs, counselors usually help addicts to recognize and strongly face up to their past experiences that might have contributed to their desire for consumption of drugs. The intensity of these personal dilemmas is too hard to be confronted by the drug addicts as they do not want to remember their painful times. This fear makes the drug addicts not to get admitted to drug rehab centers. Thus, these are some of the common fears of drug and alcohol addicts to get admitted to these centers.
